The 5 of us and our dog popped into the vagabond yesterday for a late Sunday lunch. We were only visiting the area so hadn't booked but hostess kindly found us a table.The food was cooked to perfection ,lots of meat and veg all served by some lovely people. Extremely good value in a cosy welcoming setting. The staff do their best to offer a warm welcome. It's a hidden gem and we will be back.
Great pub food! Enjoyed dinner here with sailing friends and we all enjoyed our food - dog friendly too! Lasagne and Salad was very tasty, but the Scallops were just fabulous. Lots of people picking up takeaway pizza, obviously has a good local reputation as it was busy.
I've had many a sunday roasts, but this tops my list and for the 3 x meat being 17.99 (what a steal!) with the portion size and all the veg and cauliflower cheese. My goodness it was great. Anyone visiting or living in Whitehaven need to visit. The staff were very friendly always checking if we needed a drink refill. Superb!
Booked over the phone for a table for 2 on a Sunday afternoon, they happily fitted us in we arrived around 4pm to a very busy little cosy place, they seated us and then we had a little browse of the menu, we had the vagabond feast 12" pizza and a vegetarian Sunday roast with extra potatoes this along with 3 pints of poretti came to 45.50 good value for what we had and a really enjoyable Sunday lunch was had. Staff friendly, atmosphere good a lovely little place a must go in Whitehaven.
This was such a cute pub, right by the docks. Service was good, vibe was amazing and the food was lovely. I thought the goats cheese pizza was one of the nicest pizza’s I’ve ever had. Cheesecake was banging too. We also called to book a table pretty last minute and they reserved a lovely table for us. Would highly recommend!
The Vagabond is excellent. Service is attentive, food very high quality. I'd be surprised if there is anywhere in Whitehaven to match it. Pics scallops starter-fab. Chicken pie main course- also v good
